The Reception
“We included a couple of Persian traditions and his French family’s, making the dinner about three hours long. Our dinner was so long that we skipped our first dance!” - the bride. Instead, the couple decided to save it for their first anniversary.
“In Persian culture, your guests rub two sugar cones, or Kalleh Ghand, over the bride and groom to wish them a sweet life. My sisters held the lace over our heads while our friends literally rubbed the sugar over us. I’m half Persian so I wanted to incorporate Persian traditions into our French/ American wedding.” - the bride
